Microplastics

I explore the interconnectedness of environmental threats, from climate change to chemical pollution, in works of the Earth series. 

My white sculptured artworks are crafted from earth's gifts, like hand-picked sand and Rutile mineral pigment, combined with reclaimed materials found in urban areas - from discarded wood to stone powder. I've developed techniques using only biodegradable mediums to create textured surfaces that mirror nature's ground in the color of plastic pollution. 

My mission is to expose the hidden dangers of microplastics, where art stands as a stark reminder of our planet's plastic crisis. Alarming facts, like microplastics found in human blood, fuel my creative process. I pour hope into creative process, aiming to inspire change in our daily habits. They're not just art – they're a call to action. Each piece strives to make the invisible threat of microplastics visible and urgent.

My art pieces serve as a bridge between scientific data and emotional impact. When viewers encounter these white artworks, I want them to feel what I feel - determination to make a difference. These silent pieces remind us that our everyday choices matter in the fight against microplastic pollution.

Unconventional art materials align with the philosophical concept of the artworks, emphasizing well-being, respect, and kindness.

Water-based plastic-free paints are plant-based and cruelty-free. Uniquely formulated without use of fossil fuels and non-toxic.

The white pigment Is a Titanium dioxide made of pure white Rutile mineral.

All pigments are sourced from family-owned quarries in Europe, prioritizing the protection of employee rights. Art materials are approved in Europe and USA, non-allergic and free from hazardous fumes (VOC).

These artworks are of archival quality and durability, comparable to those of the old masters.

Dust paintings regularly using a dry, soft and fine brush. Don’t use cleaning products or water.

Artworks are crafted with biodegradable materials, with degradation rates varying based on environmental conditions. It is recommended to place them in environments with low humidity and temperatures between 14ºC and 40ºC.

DELIVERY TIME: We process your order as quickly as possible. “Made to Order” orders usually are sent within 21 days.

The estimated delivery times from the time the parcel is shipped from Helsinki:

EU zone within 1–3 working days and elsewhere in the world within 2–8 working days. Only formalities in the customs of the destination country may affect the delivery times.

RETURN: The art can be returned within 7 days of receiving the package. Unfortunately, buyer is responsible for covering the postage and any other expenses related to the return, including secure packaging. If a package is not picked up, the costs of return will be deducted from the purchase price before reimbursement.
